Getting started with VASP Verify
The quickest way to check a website against reviewed UAE VASP licence records and confirm the official source.
The five-step check
- 1Install VASP Verify
Use the confirmed Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons link on the installation page. Do not install copies from an unrecognised source.
- 2Open the business website
Go to the specific website used by the virtual-asset business. A group, brand and legal entity can use different domains.
- 3Open VASP Verify
Select the extension from the browser toolbar or extensions menu. It extracts the active tab's hostname on your device.
- 4Read the record found
Review the matched legal entity, regulator, reference, status evidence and source activity or permission wording. Open the tracker record for separately labelled Ape Law comparison categories.
- 5Confirm the official record
Open the regulator source and check that it is current and relevant to the product or service you are assessing.
Before relying on a result
A domain relationship is not the same thing as a legal entity, and a legal entity's authorisation may cover only specified activities. Confirm the entity name, jurisdiction, reference, permission wording, restrictions and status directly with the regulator.
